Fabulous
Beautiful traditional old townhouse in a superb location
Liked: Casa del Agua is a beautiful traditional old townhouse in the centre of town. Location wise it couldn’t be better. Comfortable beds in lovely bedrooms. The upstairs toilet is a bonus. The kitchen is okay and the fridge very adequate. We didn’t use the kitchen to cook. It’s good for a short stay.
Disliked: The property has issues. The water of the toilet kept running. We had to fix it ourselves because of the noise. No one could sleep.The shower is in a very high bathtub and it’s difficult to keep the floor dry. The wallpaper in the bathroom is very damp and about to fall off. The sofa in the lounge needs to be replaced. It’s damaged and very uncomfortable. Beautiful rooftop terrace but difficult to reach. Very uncomfortable stairs to the rooftop.
I would really reccomend this property 😀
Liked: Great location, large airy space, tastefully decorated… wonderful roof top views, helpful host 😀
Disliked: We were early in the season so the roof top was yet to be set up for the season but our host kindly brought us cushions for the sun beds.
Higly recommended (especially during warmer season)
Liked: Lovely house! Wonderfully decorated and a truly magical experience. If wish to visit again in summertime, so we could enjoy the terrace fully. The host was very friendly and attentative. Thank you Gustavo!
Disliked: Allthough it was chilly and windy during our visit in Vejer and the house typically cold and damp (spanish winter), we had heaters in the bedrooms, so stayed warm during the night.
Liked: Location
Disliked: This property needs some attention. The house is a generous size but not really suited for a stay in March, its cold and humid and not really heatable. There were some small heaters in most of the rooms, but there was not enough power to get the rooms to a decent temperature, the fuses blew often and therefore only some rooms could get a bit warmer. So evenings were not enjoyable at all and there was not enough power to heat all 3 bedrooms. The bathroom/shower needs some attention. Wifi only works in the cold sitting room and a tiny bit in the dining/kitchen area. The dining room is charming, so is the whole house. The kitchen is minimalistically equipped and would definitivly benefit from some update/and or renovation. The owner/manager could easily be reached and was supportive, and responded fast, but there was not too much he could do during our stay. This property has potential, but needs some work. We have stayed in Vejer 3 times in the past and love this town Our stay at was therefore somewhat disappointing.

Liked: We loved the African feel of the house. It was quirky and characterful. Location could not of been better!! We were very comfortable despite a few issues.
Disliked: Despite the great atmosphere of the house it definitely could do with an upgrade. In particular the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom flooded whenever someone had a shower and there was not adequate bath mats. The dining room floor could do with replacing and the kitchen needs attention.
