Fabulous
Great value, great location and a fantastic breakfast
Liked: The location was excellent: a short walk from the train station, on a quiet street but just a minute from a lively strip of bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. We had a car, and while the on-site parking can’t be reserved, there was always a space available. We arrived and left outside of reception hours, but the instructions were very clear and the whole check-in and check-out process was easy and smooth. The highlight was the included breakfast, with lots of choice. It was great to have a proper, filling brekkie before heading out for hikes, and, for a country like Switzerland, it made the stay an even better value for money. Our two-bedroom unit (the second bedroom doubles as a living room) was comfortable for the three of us, though perhaps a little on the small side. Everything was very clean, including the spacious bathroom. The views from the room are so calming, and the sunsets are gorgeous. The room had a small fridge and a kettle, though it would have been helpful to have some plates, cutlery, dish soap and a sponge. We realised towards the end of our stay that we probably could’ve borrowed those from the shared kitchen area downstairs. Wi-Fi was fine, if a little patchy at times. The building itself is charming, in a traditional chalet style. Overall, a great option for a couple who want a bit more space, a group of friends or a small family.
Great guesthouse with a wonderful view
Liked: Our room had its own bathroom and a small patio that looked out to the beautiful Swiss mountains. The breakfast was also really nice with a large selection of breads and a nice coffee machine.
Worth the price and recommendable
Liked: Location is good! Just around 8min walk to Interlaken West Train/Bus Station. Small double room is just enough space for 2 people with towels, comforter, room heater and hair dryer inside. They have a kitchen downstairs, water heater, microwave and refrigerator. I've also seen some cooking utensils. Free breakfast is just okay. It was overall a great stay.
Disliked: They provided a hair dryer but the hair dryer plug doesn’t fit into the socket in the room. The part around the plug is too round and bulky, so it won’t fit into the narrow socket. Good thing we have an adapter so we were still able to use it. And we could not ask anyone because the reception is only until midday.
Good value and convenient location
Liked: Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and polite. The house was conveniently located and quiet at night. We felt safe there, great neighborhood. Had.a community fridge for storing food, very nice!
It was more like an upgraded hostel than a hotel
Liked: Close to the west train station, the breakfast was nice. Great view out of our room #2
Disliked: Very simple. I asked for an extra pillow as they only had one per person and had no response. Under the bed was very dusty and dirty and has old wrappers. No elevator!!
Liked: The breakfast is good! The staff is friendly and polite.
Disliked: No lift. I have to carry 3 luggages up 3 floors 😩
