Liked: The apartment is very spacious and bright and the location is very close to the Minusio train station and Lago Maggiore. Grocery stores and convenience stores (coop, migros are close by). The washer and dryer in the flat are a bonus. The host was responsive and helpful.

Disliked: The location above a Carrozeria (car workshop) detracts a bit from the otherwise lovely lake terrace. The flat was very hot during this heat wave and while the ceiling fans in the master bedroom help, the room fans in the others could not keep pace with the heat. Mattresses in the master bedroom were very soft and could do with an upgrade. The kitchen could be slightly better equipped with more utensils since the apartment is designed for larger groups.
