  Cute place

  Liked: Very well located, had character, staff was very nice.

  Disliked: The room was very very small (advertised as such so not their fault). It was totally fine for one night but we would have struggled for longer.

  Liked: A lovely boutique hotel right in the heart of Ascona. The location is perfect: you can easily explore the town on foot and it’s so convenient to pop back to the hotel for a break before heading out again. Marino and Laura were very kind and welcoming, and they made us feel at home. It is the perfect place for a couple, and we’ll definitely be back!

  Liked: Very kind people, at the reception and the service. Helpful with everything:-) Amazing restaurant / breakfast room. It is a real gem this building. It was the first post office in Ticino!! Wonderful historical building. But still with comfort for the guests. They have fantastic quality croissants for breakfast:-)) I want to try their restaurant next time. It is very cozy and inviting:-)

  Beautiful, comfortable, well located and outstanding service

  Liked: Location in the center of old Ascona, close to the lake and with easy parking. Welcome at reception was excellent and room size huge. Breakfast and service was amazingly good. I'll be staying here if possible again next time in Ascona.

  Disliked: Nothing. The entire stay and experience was flawless.

Good to know

Albergo Antica Posta is located in the pedestrian area of Ascona. When arriving by car and you reach Ascona, drive all straight until the post office. There, you will find two plugs designating the pedestrian area. Press on the white button and announce yourself as a hotel guest. The police will let you drive through.The hotel is located about 656 feet from there, on the left hand side, just after the boutique of Farfalla. It is a green house with two olive trees.

Please note that the city tax includes the Ticino Ticket. It offers free benefits and discounts in the Canton of Ticino, including free use of train and bus services.
