“A beautifully located and thoughtfully run boutique hotel with a warm atmosphere - not perfect, but worth it

Liked: The property is beautifully located, with stunning views over the lake and direct access to the lungolago, making it an ideal setting for a relaxing stay. With only a few rooms, the atmosphere is quiet and intimate, which is what I personally look for in a hotel. The staff were excellent: professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly throughout my stay. I travelled with my cat, and when the room was first cleaned, they kindly provided an extra water bowl and a pet blanket! Thoughtful gesture which I greatly appreciated I didn’t use some of the available facilities, such as the bikes, so I can’t comment on those.

Disliked: One downside was the restaurant being closed on both Tuesday and Wednesday. While this may be understandable for a boutique property, it still felt unusual — even a single closure day during high season would have stood out. Given the hotel’s relatively remote location, it made dining a bit inconvenient for guests without easy access to nearby restaurants. That said, the reception staff were able to prepare small snacks and drinks on request during those days, which was appreciated. It’s also apparent that Giardino places most of its emphasis on the Ascona location, which might explain the more scaled-back services here.

Liked: The staff was nice and the Location was really good.

Disliked: The room i was offered was a single room. The room was terrible it was like a hostel room. The sink was inside the room. There is no bathroom room as the toilet and the shower are all inside the room.
