  Wonderful

  Liked: Charming location next to the lake. Discreet, elegant. The poolside area is very relaxing but also welcoming for children, with a nice poolside bar. Restaurant is excellent and the staff are friendly. We have been coming for many years and it remains consistent. Nice breakfast buffet and beautiful garden to dine in. The sauna area is new and very pleasant, as is the small gym.

  A little oasis hidden outside of the main tourist area of Ascona

  Liked: Staff were very helpful, the rooms were very clean and bed comfortable. Facilities were good and the pool area was really well maintained.

  Disliked: It’s off the main strip, so no view of the lake (at least not from my room). “English breakfast” sausages were nini bratwursts with little flavor. The visit was so nice that these are the only things that were not perfect

  Great except parking

  Liked: Beautiful gardens, great service, wonderful food

  Disliked: We advised before booking we had a VW CAMPERVAN with bikes on back making us long and high. We asked when booking is outside reserved parking available, they said yes (by e mail), when we arrived they said reservation was not possible and we would have to find our own parking. Eventually we parked in a service area which they did not like, but after showing them their own e mail confirming parking they could not dispute. Took the shine off a wonderful hotel.

  Liked: We had a wonderful stay at Ascona Lodge, Pool & Garden. The hotel is very clean, calm, and beautifully maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere that made us feel comfortable from the first moment. The garden and pool area are especially lovely and perfect to unwind after a day in Ascona. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was fresh and very enjoyable. The location is also excellent — quiet, yet still close enough to walk to the lake and restaurants. A place we would gladly return to again. Highly recommended for families or couples looking for a peaceful stay in Ascona.
