  Great for short stay

  Liked: Nice location (only 30 min walk in the riva to Locarno), very clean room with a nice balcony with views of the lake, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast

  Disliked: The room is above a restaurant (where the breakfast was served) and it can be noisy

  Pretty location, very friendly staff, but somewhat noisy at night

  Liked: Pretty location right on the lake promenade. Close to shops and public transport (Minusio). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, very clean, has good shutters, and the bed is very comfotable and big enough for two. The balcony is at the side of the building and thus has partial lake views. The dinner at the restaurant was tasty. The sunday breakfast was very good (breakfast on the other days was only average).

  Disliked: It is quite noisy at the start of the night. The business is mainly a successful and busy restaurant that rents out one hotel room upstairs. The toilets for restaurant guests are right next to the hotel room. And of course some restaurant tasks must be done after the restaurant closes at night, like vacuuming the stairs and corridor outside the hotel room and cleaning the toilets, disposing of crates of empty bottles etc. We understand this is unavoidable, but the thin wooden hotel room door does not really block the noises caused by these tasks. So unless you are a heavy sleeper or a night owl, this may wake you up. Soundproofing against sounds from outside is good, but not against sounds from inside the building. Considering that the other food at the restaurant seems to be very good, the breakfasts (with the exception of sunday), were only average.

  Liked: I'm in love with Minusio. This is my paradise now (it was in June). Hostess is really great. Breakfast was nice, although we'd have some eggs to make it perfect. Beautiful warm lake.

  Disliked: This is not a hotel, but just one room above the restaurant. So all the noise coming from guests and personal when they're closing the restaurant wasn't cool. Soft mattress and hard thick pillows. For some reason I didn't really like this 'home-like stay'. It was okay for 3 days, but I wouldn't stay here longer.
