Exceptional
Don't be fooled by the view
Liked: The apartment was generally of an acceptable standard. Showers were very good.
Disliked: The apartment is located at the edge of a council estate, very congested road and parking was difficult. The standard of the beds and bedding was awful, the mattresses were very soft and lumpy and the bedding was old and worn and very hot (flanette duvet covers in September 🥵). The towels were hard. The fridge and bathrooms although appearing very clean all had a very unpleasant smell. For anyone with any mobility issues this is not an apartment I'd recommend the lock box is located on the floor so difficult to use and the stairs are very steep.
Family Get Together
Liked: The house is beautifully and tastefully appointed. There are spectacular views across the Fal and harbour from all the front-facing rooms. The hot tub was ready and easy to use. The kitchen is well-equipped with high quality appliances and plenty of cookware. It is situated on the first floor with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and another in the loft conversion. There are 3 bedrooms, and each one had sole access to its own bathroom and shower or bath. There was off-road parking for one car and the walk into town took 20 minutes, although very hilly!
Disliked: It is situated in quite high density housing, which was not made clear in photos or the description. Hand wash, toilet paper and towels were provided but not shower gel or shampoo. It was an enjoyable stay but I wouldn't stay again.
Liked: Beautiful house with great attention to detail. It was lovely to wake up with a view of the dea every morning.
House was amazing but parking is a problem
Liked: House is extremely well appointed and a pleasure to live in.
Disliked: Parking is a real issue. Beds are on small.
Nice spacious modern house close to the city center
Liked: New and modern house. Good quality
Disliked: Missing shower gel and shampoo. No kitchen rolls. Towels smelled moldy as if they haven’t been dried properly
Very well designed modern house in a great position
Liked: The location was perfect for us to get to the RCYC every day for our race week. The house worked really well for 3 couples with plenty of space and privacy with a bathroom/shower room for each bedroom. We didn't use the hot tub but I am sure it gets well used. The South West facing garden was a real bonus at the end of the day and for drying our sailing kit. Off street parking for one car is a plus, and it was always possible to find parking spaces along the road for other cars. The views are great!
Disliked: There could have been more mugs and the kitchen equipment was quite basic. There was no information about which day the rubbish would be collected, and no compostable liners were provided for the food bin although the instructions said that food waste should be placed in compostable liners. It would have been nice to have more than one drying up cloth in the kitchen, and cotton sheets/pillow cases/duvet covers would have been more comfortable particularly in warm weather than the hot flannel style bed linen.
