Nice hotel close to downtown Inverness

Liked: Nice building, room was big. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast and the food in the pub was also very good.

Disliked: Not unusual for an older building, but the window in the bathroom was old and not very airtight so that the bathroom was very cold even though the heater was running on full.

    Awful

Disliked: The staff! Particularly the nasty woman running the breakfast! The breakfast opens at 8am! I turned up at 07.50am yet she locked me out! She said you have to stay in your room until 08.00am in a harsh loud military tone! it has been many years since anyone has ordered me to my room! Then said just in case you steal something hmm I stood outside in the freezing cold for the ten minute wait I’m hoping she is not management so rude! A Frenchman rescued me as he was allowed in he escorted me to a table Do not stay here it’s awful! We came all the way from Australia to be treated terribly And the room was tiny and dirty Their are many places to stay in Inverness all so Much nicer than here GWebbRAN

Great location and ideal for short stays

Liked: Breakfast and room and storage of cabin cases before check in/out. Location 15 min walk from station

Disliked: Lack of managers as 2 were on holiday and had fire alarm go off twice due to dust in a cupboard apparently

Liked: Location was good. Room was warm. The downstairs bar was full of atmosphere. The building is beautiful.

Disliked: The room was very worn and in desperate need od updating. The carpets are worn and stained. The thing that was most uncomfortable were the plastic floor boards in the bathroom that were squishy underfoot due to water damage. The bathroom had bot been cleaned before my arrival. The tap and toilet were stained. There was used soap still in the shower/bath. It was generally very dirty and the water damaged floor was a major turn off.

    Good location for one night

Liked: Easy to find. Small but adequate room. Ate in the pub bar - had lovely cullen skink. Breakfast was a la carte (pay for what you have) which was good as you can chose how much you want and it is freshly cooked. Made a nice change from a buffet. Easy walk to town or the river.

Disliked: Generally we found all places in Inverness very expensive to stay so comparatively it was good value
