  We'll never stay anywhere else in Inverness

  Liked: We absolutely loved Doric House. This is a small guesthouse with three guestrooms and a lovely little breakfast/day room and we were made to feel very welcome indeed by Jamie and Heather. Our room was perfectly sized for the two of us, the bathroom modern and spacious, the bed comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. They also did a load of laundry for us for a nominal fee which was a help at week four of a six week holiday. The location is very handy to the center of town but not too close, so it's also very quiet. Jamie provided a parking permit so we could park the rental car in the street and also gave us so many great tips for day trips etc as he runs tours himself and knows the area so well.

  Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like, it was great. Make sure to use the Market Brae steps (gentle, gradual) rather than the Rainings Stairs (steep, makes you breathless) to go into town.

  We really appreciated the helpful advice Jamie gave us on local walking routes and on our journey beyond Inverness

  Liked: This was the perfect location to base our visit to Inverness. It is an easy walk to the town centre with parking right outside. Very comfortable bed and a great variety of food to choose from for breakfast.

  One of the best places we have stayed so far our adventure around Scotland

  Liked: Convenient location, great facilities, excellent breakfast. Hosts Heather & Jamie are exceptional. We had takeaway one night and they allowed us to use the breakfast room, providing plates, cutlery etc. Jamie was a wealth of information.
