  No heat and 60+ steps to the 3rd floor - Confirmation is not transparent, plus dirty carpet

  Liked: Excellent location.

  Disliked: Booking.com and the hotel must be transparent that there is no heat till some undisclosed time. I arrived and the room was too cold to take off my coat. I was tired and cold from a day of travel. I texted via the booking.com app but there was no response. Turned on the radiator, waited, but no heat. The carpet was dirty, I was not comfortable walking around in my socks. There were over 60 steps to the room on the 3rd floor - please tell guests and be honest. We should be entitled to cancel with a full refund with the very misleading confirmation which lists nothing about 60+ steps and nothing about being without heat part of the day. Also, there was a small bar top table with 2 stools - I could not work there for very long. There is also no chair or desk in the room.

  Liked: Nice big room. Bed was comfy. Location good.

  Disliked: Room was on second floor, so 44 stairs up. Okay if you are a young fit person but not an elderly one. There was secondary glazing but it was not soundproof. Lot of street noise from people leaving pubs at closing time.

  Liked: Comfortable bed, very clean and tidy room, very close to railway station

  Disliked: Noisy nightlife outside until 0100, several bin lorries early in the morning as well as street sweeping. Basically the location is above City nightlife
