Convenient base for seeing Inverness and around

Liked: Location - 6 min from the railway and bus station on foot - good for traveling around, close to the meeting point of the tours I've chosen. Town centre - good for walking around Inverness, museums, breakfasts, cafes.

Liked: Excellent stay, just a short walk from the center of Inverness! Wonderful facilities and a clean, comfortable room. A decent sized room PLUS private bathrooms can be a difficult thing to come by at this price point, and in UK cities in general. The bathroom is of course a little cramped as it has clearly been added into an existing room, but that's 100% to be expected in accomodation like this (repurposed residential houses) and it does what it needs to do, no complaints at all. Plenty of towels and hot drink options in the room, hair dryer, comfortable beds. Overall a great stay for this solo traveller

    Disliked: Everything was as expected.

Great location, clean and comfortable (but small) room, would stay here again if we didn’t travel ev

Liked: The absolute best thing about our accommodation was the location. Kinloch lodge is in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the downtown area and the River Ness. No breakfast was available, but we did enjoy the in-room hot water heater, instant coffee, tea, and cookies. Our room (7) was clean and had a sliding glass door onto a private courtyard. Although it was a bit too chilly to spend our mornings outside, the wall of glass made the room feel much more spacious. Closet and shelving space more than met our needs. The bathroom was generously sized with a nice shower, and a common area and kitchen (used for one dinner) was just outside our door. The inn was full, but we never heard other guests from within our room. The parking lot across the street was great for overnight parking (free from 6pm to 8 am, or pay £3 between 4-6 pm and get the balance of 3 hours after 8 am.

Disliked: The double bed was a bit tight for two slim but tall people. Hitting the hanging light by the front door was unavoidable when opening the door. Extra floor space in the room was minimal. Hand soap fixture by sink was not attached to a wall. None of these were hugely inconvenient. However, the parking situation is tricky, because you can’t spend more than 3 continuous hours in the nearby lot from 8 am to 6 pm in the daytime, which means you have to spend time finding other parking during the day. We went on day trips out of the city on both full days of our trip so it wasn’t too bad.
