Good
Royal Highland Inverness
Liked: The hotel is a beautiful old railway hotel right next to the station in the centre of Inverness. Its very convenient for catching trains, busses around the corner and the centre of Inverness itself. The building is full of historic features and the rooms were very old style with high ceilings and lots of space. Very comfortable beds and a nice big bathroom. The continental breakfast was lovely with a good selection of things to eat and drink.
Disliked: Nothing of note.
We were happy to stay there for a second time due to the location
Liked: Excellent location and good continental breakfast
Nice stay in the centre of Inverness
Liked: Excellent location and free parking (thankfully we got one of the few spaces). The hotel was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.
Disliked: It's a little 'faded glory' in places and is a little tired once you get past the lovely entrance and stairway, but it's perfectly fine for a few days.
Wouldn’t stay again
Liked: The location is great, and the entrance is beautiful.
Disliked: Bright yellow is a bit much for a bedroom, wallpaper was peeling. Dirty marks on the walls, the bedding, room just felt thrown together. Single bed chucked against the wall, a cupboard with a tiny rail to hold your clothes. Desk shoved in the corner. Felt like sleeping in a cupboard. Room was far too hot, no fan provided & old fashioned window which was difficult to open and no instructions on how to do it.
Fantastic stay again, already looking forward to our next visit
Liked: Great location for the train station. Period decor, lovely rooms and fabulous staff
Disliked: Nothing
Centrally located Victorian grandeur
