Liked: The view outside was absolutely stunning. The cottage is located in a cozy little village with friendly locals. The room was perfect, and the backyard was also gorgeous, featuring a tiny, lovely cafe. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the amazing staff—they were absolutely fantastic, incredibly welcoming, and went above and beyond to make everything possible for us. We had a fantastic time here; if we could, we would stay forever!

Amazing, cosy waterfront stay with friendly and knowledgeable hosts!

Liked: Gorgeous waterfront property, very cosy and close enough to drive to Inverness to explore and eat. It felt very secure and was a great place to relax. The hosts were incredible! Very friendly and knowledgeable, and the cafe does an amazing breakfast! Lovely communal lounge and sunroom space as well.

Disliked: The body wash wasn’t my favourite as it felt a little watery. The doors could also use some WD-40 as they were very squeaky!

Disliked: Exceptionally small room, the bed is very uncomfortable with mattress where springs could be felt through the cover. The handheld shower could not be secured (it kept dropping lower) so the had to be held in hand through the whole shower. The washing powder used on sheets and towels is exceptionally strong smelling leading to headache after using them.

A warm, welcoming, and memorable first B&B experience made even more special by our host’s genuine hospitality

Liked: We had a wonderful experience staying at White Cottage B&B, especially since it was our first time staying at a B&B. Our host was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We really appreciated him asking what we would like for breakfast and preparing fresh coffee and tea for us each morning, including making sure we had oat milk. He was also extremely helpful and informative when it came to things to see and do in the area. Thanks to his recommendations, we discovered the falcon show at Dunrobin Castle, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip around Inverness. The personal touches and genuine hospitality made our stay feel truly special.

Disliked: Honestly, there wasn’t anything we disliked. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

A very pleasant stay and I would recommend to others

Liked: Very clean and tidy. Staff/owners was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the NC500 route. Very easy to get to location. Food was fresh and tasty. Good warm shower in the bathroom. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into making their guests comfortable.

Disliked: Floorboards were extremely noisy Would have liked a cooked breakfast.
