  Worth the travel time to get there, and a great location too explore Skye

  Liked: I loved the remoteness, and the fact I would look out my window and see sheep grazing. Or go to the building where there was a library, tables to write or just gaze out across the inlet. Wonderful hiking and exploring. I enjoyed exploring Portree, and the excellent restaurant there.

  Disliked: I was shocked how cold it was. If you go, be sure to pack a good raincoat and warm jumper. It does rain a good deal, so be rain prepared. I was there in July, and it was still cold. That's to be expected I guess. Redwood House is north of Portree.

  Scotland favorite!

  Liked: Great centralized location for our 3 night stay. Don't let the single-track road, pothole and lamb comments deter you from booking. All are easily managed in getting to the property even in the rain. Staff onsite were the best we had during our trip to Scotland. The breakfast had a wonderful selection of items including traditional hot and continental. They even had avocados and eggs which was wonderful surprise. We met several couples in "sunroom" where guests can relax and gather for games, social or reading. After booking Saturday dinner was cancelled onsite but there are options within a short drive and the hotel team was kind enough to book it for us. Amazing stay!

  Disliked: Carpeting in the room should be removed.
