Exceptional
An absolute fantastic experience for a stay on the Isle of Skye
Liked: Everything! Murdo and Scott provided the perfect few days on the Isle of Skye. I can’t go on enough how they take a personal interest in everyone who stays at the house. Murdo helped us immensely when weather cancelled our all day boat plans. With his help, we drove and explored great places all around the island. The meals that Scott created were fabulous. The selection of wines were also very impressive. We are definitely coming back and bringing others. We hope to see them in 2027!

Memorable stay at Skye
Liked: The location was great! Murdo and his son Scott runs the place like a clock! The room was spotless and comfortable. Scott prepares the dinner and breakfast. Food was wonderful, top notch quality. We really enjoyed our stay.
Fabulous 5* stay at Taransay House! Don’t think about booking anywhere else, this place is amazing
Liked: We received a warm and friendly welcome from Murdo upon arrival, and some great advice on sightseeing activities. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with extremely comfortable beds and thoughtful extras provided as part of our room rate. However, the best part was the breakfast and dinner. Simply outstanding food by Scott the Chef and fantastic service by Murdo. Taransay House is up there with top 5* star hotel restaurants and we can’t recommend it enough. Thank you to Murdo and Scott for a fabulous stay! You are a lovely family and we were sad to leave.

Liked: The house was beautiful, breakfast was amazing as was dinner on both nights, Murdo was extremely helpful and nothing was too much to ask, big shout out to his son food was exceptional

Liked: Excellent welcome and support throughout whole stay with Murdo and Scott giving great advice about where to go and what to see. Excellent food cooked by Scott - beautifully presented and exceptional quality of local produce. Loved everything about our stay and eould recommend to all.
