Good
Liked: Quite a run down hotel. Pet friendly. location to Keswick was walkable. ( take a torch for walking back). The bar area is huge but sparse. No homely feel to it. Gardens are lovely with a walk to the lake. We didn’t try the food but the bar was reasonably priced. Rooms very dated but clean.
Liked: We had a delightful stay at this property and would recommend it
Liked: Bathroom leaked and flooded the bathroom, fan didn’t work. Room smelt damp, mattress old
Very pleasant and good value
Liked: Excellent location and very peaceful. All the staff were very professional and pleasant. The room was spacious with a good sized ensuite bathroom. Having read previous reviews about the hotel we were not surprised or disappointed by the rather dated decor and bathroom. And given the good value of our stay compared to other similar venues, this was clearly factored in.
Liked: Nice place quite and useful
Liked: Average stay at the Derwentwater hotel, the staff & location are excellent however we did feel the hotel looked tired. Also we found the bed very hard. Overall we’ve had a lovely time in the Lakes.
