Liked: Clean, very accommodating staff, near everything and good value for money!
Disliked: Had to get some boiling water from kitchen which took me 5 minutes and my hair and clothes smelled a mixture of different menu!

A fine hostel but if you value privacy and being able to sleep book a private room!
Liked: The location is amazing - reached via a balcony next to the river Greta and just by some rapids (popular with a heron). The large dining area / common room and self catering room have big picture windows with views over the river to Fitz Park and Skiddaw. Excellent helpful staff.
Disliked: Night 2 was a nightmare due to a very loud snorer (I'd forgotten to bring ear plugs) - and I think I was doing loud snoring too - so probably a nightmare for all in the dorm. I might avoid hostels in future due to this, unless I can book a private room.
