  Cozy stay, comfortable feeling

  Liked: The house is really cozy and well-equipped, it's especially great that it has a washer and dryer. It's located relatively close to the center of Fort Augustus. The shower has good water pressure. The rabbits in the garden were absolutely adorable, and we were so happy that our dog was welcome.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, I missed having a coffee machine. And the smell in the bedroom bothered me a little.

  Cozy Highland House We Didn't Want to Leave

  Liked: Loved how well-stocked the house was and the beautiful views. We loved the cozy feel with books and games and decorations. It was comfortable and we loved the washer/dryer. It was very helpful for our family. We felt right at home and wish we could've stayed longer!

  Disliked: Beds were a little firm and the light in the morning woke us up earlier thanwe wanted. Blackout curtains would be a nice addition.

  Quality place within walking distance to Loch Ness

  Liked: Excellent location - a walking distance from the centre of Fort Augustus and there are pleasant walks in the woods nearby. Although the house is on the main road and there is a car repair workshop on the other side of the road, it is not noisy. It is actually not as exposed as it looks in the picture, the front lawn is much smaller, there are hedges and trees. The mattress in the main bedroom is firm and very comfortable. The other bedroom has two beds - a double and a single and for some privacy there is a foldable wooden partition if required. The kitchen is fully equipped (except a microwave), there is even a Magic Bullet blender and a draw full of spices. We were able to use the fireplace in the living room which made our stay even cosier. Quality shampoo, hair conditioner, soaps, dishwashing and laundry detergents were provided. Double sink in the bathroom is definitely a bonus. Overall the house is very clean. We would happily stay there again. We also appreciate the host’s flexibility with the checkout time.
