Exceptional
Liked: This was away from the noise and hubbub of the city. Right on the canal next to the Ness River. We LOVED it! So comfortable! So clean! A great refuge! We wish our trip allowed us to stay longer. Nice walking path across the canal. Just beautiful!!

Lock Keepers Cottage
Liked: Location fab. Peaceful at night. Great sleep. Character building. Ample parking.
Disliked: Unusual smell in and around ground level bedroom. Possible drain issue? Toilet seat on upstair bedroom ensuite not staying up. Towel rail control panel akward to get at as beside toilet. Instructions needed? TV signal dropped out several times and channel choice poor. Instructions needed on lighting fire properly as we smoked the room out as flue not at correct temperature.
Liked: We had a truly wonderful stay at the Lock Keepers Cottage (Loch Ness Cottage Collection). From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful location right on the banks of the Caledonian Canal, just a short drive from Inverness and a stone's throw from Loch Ness. It serves as the perfect, peaceful base for exploring the Scottish Highlands.The cottage itself is beautifully refurbished, elegant, and spotless throughout. The layout is fantastic—the bedrooms are incredibly spacious with super comfortable beds, crisp white linen, and lovely en-suite bathrooms providing great privacy. The open-plan living and kitchen area is brilliantly equipped with high-quality amenities, including a dishwasher and washing machine. Gathering around the cozy wood-burning stove after a long day of hillwalking was the absolute highlight of our evenings.The small touches really made a difference, from the fully stocked basket of logs for the fireplace to the excellent communication from the hosts. Having the An Talla cafe and gelato shop just a one-minute walk away was incredibly convenient. There is also an enclosed garden and a private driveway with an EV charging point, which was a massive plus for us. We had a restful, magical stay and cannot wait to return with the rest of the family!

Liked: Three bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, fireplace ready to use, large garden,property had its own parking spot and it was right next too Jacobite Loch Ness Cruise Harbour
Disliked: Unfortunately we were approached by pure Scottish weather so 4 seasons in a day:D
