  Terrible organisation

  Liked: Finding and getting into the property was a nightmare

  Disliked: I was give 3 addresses. Luckily at the 2nd address a man came out and revealed a third property.

  Disliked: Tiny stuffy smelly room which should only have a single bed in, mould in shower room, shower tray needs replacing, pillows seen better days, awful bed. Emailed hotel to request room move as I have asthma and the mould and smell not good for me and within 5 minutes of being in the room my eyes were stinging. Email was not even replied to!!! There were some nice rooms on the booking.com photos but we were stuffed up in the roof.

  Good value for a great location

  Liked: Room bigger than I expected. Location was great for access to train station and city centre. Coded locks made it easy to get in and out; and felt more secure.

  Disliked: Window faced out onto a back yard area, so felt like I couldn’t have the curtain open.

Good to know

Please note that there are no elevator facilities in the guest house. All rooms are accessible via stairs onto the first and second floors. There are also stone steps with a hand rail leading up to the entrance.

Parking is available on street in a zoned area. The Hotel has a limited number of permits at GBP 5 per night (check for availability and written reservation confirmation prior to arrival).

Please be aware that Riverside Hotel is city based and the front-facing rooms can experience traffic noise.

Depending on room type and availability, some guests may be accommodated in the nearby annex.

Please note that the check-in is strictly between 13:30 and 23:00.

A surcharge of GBP 10 per hour applies for early check-in and late check-in hours. All requests for early and late arrivals are subject to confirmation by the property.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance.
