Fabulous
Liked: Staff of mother and daughter exceptional. So helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Stairs to room quite difficult to navigate. Think stair rails should be all the way to the room.the p
Good value in a good location
Liked: The location was good for us. The room was large enough for us and clean. The self check in worked ok and we had all we needed. The room was turned down as we were out which I didn’t expect as we’re only there 2 nights so it was lovely to come back to. The breakfast, although I hadn’t read it was a hamper it was so yummy! We got a mix of cold & hot food, good quality ingredients
Disliked: The parking was confusing but we got sorted in the end. As we were here during the storm & the windows are old the wind coming through was crazy, it was howling & blowing the blind. We sorted the 2nd night by shoving some tissues into the gaps to stop them rattling but night 1 was a sleepless night! Not sure I can blame the hotel for this but that’s the honest feedback!
Average hotel
Liked: The king bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The bedding and towels very clean. It is in quite a good spot for the town i'd say 10 minutes from train station end. The local village was good and the pub The Ramshill Hotel very welcoming. If you want cheap then its good. There is no free parking its £10 for 2 nights and the pool and gym is a good way from the place in another hotel which is a bit wierd? The area is noisy and a few nights we were woken up with people arguing and rowing in the street and police turning up
Disliked: It was build as 4 star.. it is NOT!! We would rate it 3 at best. Its a very old building no doubt listed as it has no double glazing. Its more like a set of rooms than a hotel. We booked a king suite and it was nice but, no dressing table to get ready on so I had to use the fire place. The carpets are dirty and ours was not hoovered once whilst we were there. I had to scrub the kettle before we could use it as it had lime scale. And as for the TV remote my god it was filthy!!! I had to clean it with sanitiser before we used it. One of the shower head holders was also broken.
False advertisement on website
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The rooms walls had cracks and marks The carpet was full of dirty marks No food served on site as its advertised on website Breakfast come to the room in takeaway cartons and cold. Probably purchased in nearby cafe. Very limited choice, struggled due to our dietary requirements. The cost of the Breakfast definitely not worth the price. Website pictures didn't match actual condition of the room, no restaurant on site, no food served, but If you want a takeaway you would get £50 charge. Im not sure for which service. Maybe get rid of the boxes.
Liked: Really lovely place and very clean. Randomly though no table in my room and as I needed to work it meant I needed to find a spot in a cafe instead. I hadn’t asked for a table though so maybe my fault!
Liked: location size and comfort all for a great price
Disliked: shower needs a new fitting for shower head and carpets and decor need a little tlc apt 2 mabe a update of the tv in room
