Exceptional
Liked: I had low expectations but as a family of four staying for one night to visit the castle it was perfect. The room was far bigger than I expected and the space the kids slept in was separated from the main room. The self check-in was smooth (although I had to call to get the check-in instructions as they didn't come through automatically but the staff I spoke to on the phone were lovely). There was tea and coffee and a couple of biscuits in the room. I would happily stay again if we were back, value for money was great.
Lovely friendly environment in a perfect location
Liked: The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was a great size. We have stayed before and can already see the improvements made.
Disliked: More room for clothes storage.
Efficient, warm and did what it needed to do
Liked: For a hotel that was unattended it was very efficient - It would be great for a short stay if you wanted to eat out - find breakfast at a lovely cafe etc

Liked: Stayed there on 3 occasions and it was good. Had nice big comfortable rooms.
Liked: Excelent position. Near train station and town centre. Clean, comfortable and quiet enough to sleep well.
Good to know
There is a small car park with 7 spaces. Guests are not able to reserve parking spaces, they are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There is parking across the road from the property, which offers free parking after 15:00, until 11:00 the next day, and is free all day Sunday.
Extra beds cannot be accommodated in the Standard Double Rooms.
Please note late check in after 22:00 is only possible upon prior arrangement with the property.
