Thank you for our beautiful stay, we loved it!
Liked: It was a beautiful house in a perfect location. The beds were comfortable, it was warm and the showers and bath were really good. 10 minute walk from the train station and the Minster, etc.
Disliked: We liked everything although the stairs were quite steep, not a problem for us but I’d have been worried if I’d had little children with me.
Liked: Myself and friends loved the whole house, very clean and had everything we needed. Good base from the train station and the centre of York. The house is at a high standard throughout with the decor and furniture. Hopefully we will return next year.
Disliked: I think the pillows in the 3rd bedroom could be changed to plumper ones. Maybe provide logs and sticks for Autumn and Winter so you can use the log burner.
The property was clean, and big enough for a larger group. It was perfect for our stay!
Liked: Excellent location.vey well equipped. Clean and would book again
Disliked: Builders next door..but not their fault...steps a bit steep but again period building.
Not worth the £380 and don’t believe the 5 minute walk to town
Liked: Not a lot, maybe just that the beds were comfortable
Disliked: Door handles loose and at one point one fell off so we had to prop the door open with the bin. The stairs are steep and the house is not child friendly. There is no microwave. A train goes by regularly and is loud because there is no double glazing. There was also construction work going on next door that wasn’t mentioned to us. Shower hose broke in en-suite and shower door in main bathroom was unsafe to use, also there was no storage in main bathroom for toothbrushes etc and only a tiny shelf in the en-suite. All the outside bins were full and the back gate chained up and padlocked meant there is no escape in a fire. Some of the lamps didn’t work or flickered and a lot of times you plug something in and lights or TV went off.
