Excellent despite the storm
Liked: Lovely Australian Receptionist/Bar server Other guest are friendly even if they aren't in your room/don't know you. ( I haven't always experienced this in other travel hostels) Free tea and coffee Was offered free breakfast as we had to leave our rooms due to the storm breaking a tree and causing it to crash if front of our room staff were very calm and collected throughout this
Disliked: Honest I couldn't fault the place this was my second stay here. And having an enjoyable suite bathroom is the chefs kiss although awkward if lots of people are wanting to use the bathroom in the night or morning. But there are separate toilets downstairs if you just need to use the loo.
Liked: Overall very nice hostel, not far from the train station. Comfy beds and great water pressure (an important thing at a hostel), shared kitchen and dining room.
Disliked: It could have been a bit cleaner in the showers/toilets. Plus it’s a shame that when I booked, only the mixed bedrooms were refundable and the female dormitories not, because it forces women on a budget to book shared rooms that might be a bit uncomfortable for them.

On the whole I enjoyed my stay
Liked: The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I met people who were friendly and pleasant. I liked the communal areas. There was a kettle with a tea tray in the room. The shower and toilet was in good order and clean.
Disliked: I thought £4.50 per breakfast was a lot to pay for what we got, bearing in mind tea and coffee was free. Aside from that £4.50 was paying for cereal, toast and fruit. I was expecting a buffet. The window in my room did not quite shut properly. However the radiator compensated. The wardrobe door was a little broken.

Proof of identification: A valid proof of ID must be shown on arrival, including a passport, driving license, and national identity cards. The property cannot accept paper driving licenses and student or employee IDs as proof of identity.
Key Card: You will be required to give us a £5 key deposit for your room access card at check-in time.
Bar: Our Flamingo bar is open! Come and enjoy a selection of local/international beers and spirits.
Common Areas: The kitchen and common areas are all back open! Whooop whoop! (Kitchen and lounges will be shut at midnight and reopening at 8 am).
Facilities: Please be aware that our building has no elevator and that you may be assigned to one of our top floors and a top bunk bed.
Events: The hostel organizes daily events aimed at backpackers between the ages of 18-30 years.
Please note that all bookings are subject to the signing of the property's terms and conditions via a rental agreement which will be emailed to the guest following their reservation. Please note that all guests must be aged over 18. Different policies and additional supplements will apply when booking for 12 people or more. A valid government-issued ID must be presented at check-in.
Luggage storage is free on the day of arrival and costs GBP 2 per bag on the day of departure. An extra fee of GBP 7.5 per bag per day applies for the days following checkout. Storage lockers for small valuables are available for GBP 2 per day. Towels are available for rent at GBP 3.
