Exceptional
Fabulous stay in a beautiful house - we all loved it!
Liked: The mid-terraced victorian property was delightful. Gorgeously decorated (and we were welcomed with the lights on and decorated for Xmas!) and a lovely welcome pack too. The location was great - a quiet street but easily walkable to the city centre and with excellent eating/drinking options around the corner. This was our family xmas gathering and we were delighted to be able to enjoy the wood burner after our xmas dinner. Our host Cathryn, was very helpful and even supplied us with a slow cooker to help out xmas dinner plans.
Disliked: We had no freezer (not even in the fridge) which was a bit tricky as we were having xmas dinner in the house. Apart from that everything else was great.
Comfortable stay
Liked: Was very close to town and the property was very well presented
Disliked: Thought the lighting was a bit dim and we could have had a mirror or two near plugpoint in order to style hair but other than that was a very comfortable stay
Relaxing break in a cosy cottage
Liked: This cottage was extremely well laid out with lots of open plan space, large double rooms with high quality linens, towels were provided, the bathroom was a really good size with shower gel and shampoo provided. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with crockery, utensils and cutlery as well as glassware. The property was warm and cosy with central heating and a log burner in the living room. There was also a cosy outside space with a table and chairs. The location is extremely convenient for the centre of York and car parking is close to the property.
