Very good
Clean and convenient for walking into York
Liked: Good location, short walk into the city. We contacted the guest house beforehand so had free parking for our stay which was an added bonus. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly.
Ok
Liked: The ground floor room we stayed in was very nice
Disliked: The ground floor room we stayed in was in between two private rooms which unfortunately was quite noisy till the early hours of the morning
Was perfect for the location etc but would not have the breakfast again I would eat breakfast else where where I can get
Liked: The location was perfect distance walk into York centre
Disliked: We were disappointed at breakfast when we asked for a high chair for our 16month old and was told they didn’t have one so breakfast was not enjoyable trying to feed a toddler on knee whilst trying to eat my own breakfast
Excellent value for money
Liked: Excellent value for money. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I stayed for a week and felt well rested. I especially appreciated the peace and quiet, no earplugs needed, unlike in most hotels. A quiet location within easy walking distance of York’s historic centre. Breakfast was good, with vegan and vegetarian options available.
Liked: Excellent breakfast for £8. Friendly welcome from the owner who was very helpful and accommodating. My elderly parents stayed in room 6 which was huge with a gorgeous bed and furnishings. Would highly recommend and I'd be happy to stay there again.
