Fabulous
Pleasant and comfortable

A lovely hotel
Liked: The history of the building is evident in every detail; it is very beautifully styled. The room was nice and had a large comfortable bed. It was the most unique Hilton Hotel I have ever stayed at, so it surpassed my expectations.
Disliked: The service wasn't overly friendly, and the property is a bit of a walk from the city centre. This worked well for us, as we were able to park nearby for free and don't mind walking but it should be considered by others if they are looking for easy access to the sites. There were bottles of water in the room, but they were only free if you are a Hilton Rewards member; the label wasn't clear and tried to hide this fact. I don't think plastic bottles should be present in hotels where the local water is drinkable anyway, especially when there are more climate-friendly alternatives, but to put them in and then make out they are free when they aren't seems a little ridiculous.
Disappointing stay
Liked: Walkable location to the city centre/walls but may be too far for others and quiet area
Disliked: Booked a George Walton Queen room but were not aware that the hotel had a facility across the road. Room 272 ok design and condition however outside the window you have some sort of generator that ramps up on certain times that is very loud. Woken up some mornings by that and then the middle of the night by noises from above the room anytime any toilets or showers were used. Each time very loud and sounded like a leak. A real disappointing experience where the hotel is advertised with the beautiful interior hall and reception but in the end you have like a 50% chance to be completely outside the hotel in a basic building. Not worth the price at all. Also add the fact you'd be charged 2.50 for using a bottle of water in the room
Liked: Its quirkiness
Disliked: Lack of bathroom amenities, shower cap, bar soap etc no hairdryer, tea and coffee provided but no water apart from the chargable one.
Liked: Had a great stay here - Comfortable room, nice lounge area and very friendly staff. Ash went out of his way to write down the recipe for one of the cocktails he made, really appreciated his dedication and the drinks he made were amazing!
