Exceptional
Ideal city break location
Liked: This was a beautiful little home, in a superb location. The street was quiet, in easy reach of bus links. The walk into York was about 15 minutes. There's a great pub across the road with a good selection of beers. The One Stop is also convenient and just across the junction. The house itself is clean, warm and very comfy. Everything you need is provided, and communication with the hosts is easy and clear. Highly recommended for a couple's city break in York.
Disliked: The only downside to the property was the steepness of the stairs and the movement between bathroom and bedroom as there isn't a 'landing' at the top of the stairs. It took a little time to feel confident and it made mid night toilet breaks quite adventurous. But that's a very, very minor thing about an otherwise gorgeous stay.
Liked: Lovely little place to stay for our York trip. The stairs are tight and steep but I was aware before booking. It was comfortable and quiet.
Disliked: The pans were a little more worn than I had hoped.
Liked: Beautiful little house, perfect for the 2 of us. A lovely quiet area and a short bus ride into town. The house was lovely and clean.
Comfortable property, close to York centre with easy check in and check out
Liked: The property was very comfortable with most things that you would need. The water was lovely and hot and the bathroom really nice. Location is good walkable to the York centre, but there are also bus stops at the end of the road with buses that take you straight to the centre. A nice pub with a beer garden also at the end of the road.
Disliked: There could have been more tea towels, we only had one for the five days we were there, and there was no welcome pack such as milk, tea bags (although there was coffee). There is a shop at the bottom of the road that you can buy these items from. The washing machine was very noisy and as there is no door on the kitchen to living room while it was on we couldn't hear the TV!
Liked: Its a cute little cottage about 20 mins walk into York. Very comfy bed and very clean.
Disliked: Nothing, did what we needed.
A little gem in a fantastic location
Liked: Great Parking, beautifully decorated,comfortable bed, fantastic bath and hot shower,well equipped kitchen and the bonus of a little garden, all a short walk to the centre.
Disliked: The stairs are a little tight, but very quirky
