Disliked: Not an issue for us but room was compact and cosy rather than spacious. Only a problem if you are guests needing more space to manoeuvre.
Wonderful weekend in York, super hotel
Liked: Great location, the hotel is just a few minutes walk away from everything. The room was just as we expected, and comfortable.

Friendly, welcoming and comfortable guesthouse in an incredible location for the city centre
Liked: We were made to feel welcome immediately upon arrival, despite arriving at a time when there was no-one at reception. The lounge feels like a cosy space where anyone could spend time - eating, chatting or just relaxing with the myriad of games available. The bed was very comfortable and the room was silent overnight - a big change from our previous night's hotel, so we really welcomed it and had a great night's sleep! Breakfast was lovingly prepared and avoids the unnecessary waste common at a buffet.
Disliked: This isn't a real "negative" as we were aware of this while booking, but the room was small. It's just a comment to note that if you require more space it's probably worth booking one of the larger rooms. It's also worth mentioning that the stairs are very steep!
