Very good
Liked: Location, room style. Different, small and plenty of charm. Great Sunday roast for dinner and excellent espresso Martinis. Yummo. Good communication re parking and room instructions.
Disliked: Nothing.
A quarky but noisy stay
Liked: The atmosphere and the quirky pictures and badger statues. The service was wonderful and being allowed to store my luggage hours before my room was ready, was a great thing, as I could go and enjoy York.
Disliked: Although warned that the kitchen outside extractor would be switched off at 9.30pm, the noise is constant in room 10 and wanting to open the window only made it worse. Once the noise was in my head, it took a while to switch off and even a few hours in the evening to rest after a full day was hard with that noise. The window view isn't great either.
Perfect apart from the weather
Liked: Great location very friendly staff
Really amazing stay York is a beautiful city
Liked: The dark moody vide room was lovely filled all my gothic needs bathroom clean hot powerful shower with shampoo and shower gel no conditioner hairdryer not many pug points but it’s an old building when I go back to York I will definitely say at the fat badger again the location is very central
Disliked: I am disabled and the staff did everything to help me gave me a first floor room offered to carry my walker/ chair upstairs
Lovely stay in York
Liked: It's in an excellent location right in the centre of town. Quaint little pub with tastefully decorated rooms. Everything provided, kettle, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Proper tea (Yorkshire) and tasty biscuits. The staff were lovely, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Disliked: We couldn't work out how to turn the bathroom light off (the one by the shower) The bed was a tad soft for me but that's just personal preference and I still slept well. It can get a bit raucous outside at the weekend but that's to be expected in the centre of town.
Liked: Amazing location and stunning decor. Would definitely stay again!
