Loved York but wouldn’t stay here!!
Liked: Booked this because above a pub and included breakfast so thought £110 per night wasn’t that bad until we turned up. We were taken to the room which was 3 flights up and furthest room from the pub, as I suffer with my knees I asked for a different room but told nothing else available. Once in the room the tea coffee sugar pots had a fine layer of dust and the bathroom was awful. I requested my money back and left.
Disliked: Room, sticky bannister dirty carpets, no headboard peeling paper in bathroom.
Perfectly adequate for a couple of nights
Liked: Location in centre of York - I was meeting relatives who were staying in a different hotel. Excellent breakfast and staff very helpful.
Disliked: The WiFi wasn’t working in my room despite their best endeavours and my mobile phone couldn’t get any reception.
Good to know
On Friday and Saturday nights, we have karaoke and live music events. The pub is licensed until 1am.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
