Exceptional
Liked: Excellent location to the city centre, decor lovely, generally clean (though cupboards were chaotic) well appointed with equipment, good sized bedrooms.
Disliked: The steep stairs to the bedrooms were exceptionally steep. Although we had no mobility issues I would suggest a warning for safety for pregnant people, children and getting up in the night to get to the downstairs toilet.

Disliked: Very dirty, very badly finished. Wooden trims that weren’t finished, bedding that hadn’t been changed A very rickety rope ladder as a means of fire escape, (i doubt it has a fire certificate as its very unlikely it would pass an inspection as it is) spiders and webs in bedroom corners. The hob was filthy round the outer edges meaning we really didn’t want to cook there. The owner on being informed of the condition claimed to have a team of cleaners? and recently messaged me saying WE had left the place a mess. This is totally untrue and is merely a tit for tat reaction in my opinion and so just endorses the fact that she is well aware the place is disgusting! One comment by her was that we had left dirty,used take away cutlery however we are out every night being as i have said unable to cook on the dirty hob! There are many other factors and pictures of the condition of the property which I will forward to you separately as I seem to be getting short of space. I will however add that i had a hotel for many years in the past and to expect guests to pay to stay in accommodation in the condition that place was in is unacceptable, I would have been too embarrassed to have shown a guest anything in such a state and expect payment for it!
A quiet, comfortable and cosy home near York centre
Liked: A lovely, quaint, terraced house in a great location only a few minutes walk from the city centre. A quiet cul-de-sac with permit parking outside. Very warm and cosy.
Disliked: The steep stairs may be an issue for anyone with mobility issues but otherwise added to the charm.
Liked: Fantastic location, and the property offered distinctive charm. Our hosts were very accommodating with providing milk, cakes and shower gel.
Liked: The position is excellent to visit all the attractions of york
Liked: It was convenient to city centre. It was clean and beds were comfortable.
Disliked: I didn't like the stairs. They were steep.
