A disappointing stay that fell far short of expectations and forced us to leave early

Disliked: Our stay was truly disappointing. Upon arrival, the apartment had a lingering smell of smoke. We subsequently found a traveller review on the Booking platform from just a week earlier mentioning the same issue, meaning the hosts knew and did nothing. Dusty, a malfunctioning washing machine, lukewarm water, an outdated kitchen with a broken blackout blinds and and mold present in the shower silicone added to the frustration. Additionally, the bed and pillows were very soft and uncomfortable. We lost precious holiday time scrambling for alternative accommodation and trying to converse our dissatisfaction with both the host and customer service. The host eventually agreed to a 50% refund, but only after negotiation. We found it difficult to understand how they believed the accommodation still justified the remaining cost, given the condition of the property and the amount of holiday time and energy we had to spend fixing a situation they should have prevented. It’s clear there was little care from the hosts, and we decided to leave early. We don’t recommend this stay.

  Very good

Liked: Very clean, probably it's one of the cleanest places where I have ever been for many years of travel. Great location - quiet, very close to bus stops from where you can go anywhere you would like for sightseeing. Excellent for a vacation trip. It has a dishwasher in the kitchenette and a washing machine (the spinning is loud, the drum has to be tightened, I assume). Nice shower and bathroom, all was shining spotlessly. The bed is comfortable. Wi-Fi works impeccably. For TV lovers, it is a big screen one. The hosts (Simon, Floarea) are very nice, immediately responding, helpful and polite. I recommend the place to travellers, visiting Klagenfurt, definitely, very nice and reasonably priced.

Disliked: The cooking pots have to be changed, they are old Teflon ones, scratched and peeled off, not suitable from that perspective and also Teflon is not practical for an apartment where guests change often. In addition, there was only a scratching metal sponge for washing them as they can't go in the dishwasher. I bought a sponge and also a sponge towel for cleaning and drying the countertop, otherwise we would have used a lot of kitchen paper. There isn't a baking pot for the oven, and also no bigger salad bowl. Maybe consider changing the pillows, their inner stuff is pieced already, somewhat smaller and compact harder ones would be great. These recommendations are easily fixable, and I am sure, others then would rate the facilities as a 10.
