    Awful night

Liked: There were two very positive aspects that deserve to be mentioned. The hotel is located in a genuinely beautiful area, surrounded by wonderful mountain scenery and close to the ski lifts. The location is definitely a major advantage. Breakfast was also very good. We really enjoyed it, and the staff serving breakfast were extremely friendly, welcoming and pleasant. This was undoubtedly one of the best parts of our stay.

Disliked: Here I will be honest. We travel quite a lot and are definitely not the kind of guests who complain about small things or expect luxury. We have been using Booking.com for many years and normally choose properties rated 8 or above. That is why, seeing a rating of 8.3 and no particularly alarming reviews, we booked this hotel for one night simply to rest after a long drive before continuing our journey the next morning. We understood that this was supposed to be a fairly simple accommodation. However, at around €115 per night in a small town and approximately 1.5 km from the centre, we would not exactly call it very cheap. In any case, we did not expect what we found — even if the room had cost considerably less. The first thing we noticed when entering the room was a very strong and unpleasant smell. It was difficult to tell whether it was cigarette smoke, dampness, mould, or a combination of these. The air felt extremely humid and stale, and even the bed linen felt damp. The TV remote control was broken, and the batteries looked as though they had not been changed for a very long time — they were practically leaking. The wardrobe was broken and the bathroom sink was cracked. We could probably have tolerated all of this for just one night, but the final straw was the towels. To be fair, they were clean, but they were extremely old, faded and torn. Their condition was completely unacceptable for guest towels and, unfortunately, they looked more like cleaning cloths. After seeing them, we no longer even wanted to take a shower. The biggest problem, however, was the dampness and smell in the room. During the night we had difficulty sleeping and had to keep opening the balcony door to air the room. As a result, we hardly slept and woke up exhausted before another long day of driving. Wi-Fi was another issue. From the information provided, it was impossible to understand which network we were supposed to use.

    Excellent value for money

Liked: Staff amazing. Book dinner, bed and breakfast. Evening meal was great and they catered for my food allergy. The guest card is amazing, free public transport, cable cars and museums. Lots of places to unpack into.

Disliked: The bathroom light is on a sensor/timer. Even a reasonably short shower will find you in the dark in an unfamiliar room. A couple of hangers on the coat rack would be helpful. Our coats got soaked and didn't dry well on the hooks provided.

I prefer this place but not the rude behaviour by the staffs

Liked: I liked the option to have the summer card which was really helpful and convenient. The location was beautiful. The bus connection was fine. It was really clean as well.

Disliked: I didn’t like the way the staff treated the guests. Some of them were rude. They don’t even wished me back when I wished good morning. They were not friendly or accomodating.
