Beautiful hotel. Comfortable room. Bad female receptionist

Liked: The hotel was nice, with a wonderful location close to the lake.

Disliked: What I didn’t like was the attitude of the female receptionist. The next day, my son spoke to a young male receptionist who was wonderful polite, welcoming, and very helpful. He gave us passes that allowed us to enjoy activities for free. If we had received this information when we arrived, we could have made the most of our first day too. Unfortunately, the female receptionist did not make us feel welcome. She even told my son, “Don’t forget your key. I don’t want you freezing to death outside.” Is that really an appropriate way to welcome guests? As I could not find an option to reply directly to your response, I have edited my original review. I am disappointed that you repeatedly blamed our experience on a language barrier. We all speak English very well. We have travelled extensively across Europe, including France and Germany, and have never experienced these communication difficulties at other hotels. We spoke to your receptionist in English, a widely used international language. Your other receptionist was polite. He understood us perfectly, and we understood him without any difficulty. We communicated with him in exactly the same English we used with the lady. If our English was the problem, how were we able to communicate so easily with her colleague? Your response also feels biased because you repeatedly question our English while overlooking your receptionist’s behaviour. When we gave the name Mohammad, she said she did not understand and abruptly demanded our passports. Mohammad is a familiar and widely recognised name around the world, so I find it difficult to accept your explanation that our English was the problem. Her dismissive tone and manner deserve to be addressed seriously, rather than explained away as a language barrier. If your receptionist struggled to understand our English, that is something your hotel should address through appropriate staff training.

Disliked: Harder to park, just because I live in the usa and there is lots of room, not a major complaint. Just get used to it:)
