Be careful. Your safety in your hands. You may also meet with some manipulations from hotel staff
Disliked: 1) I did not obtain a packeted lunch, which I had ordered and paid via a&o application. Instead of the packeted lunch I obtained a cheese pizza at the hotel bar. But I obtained the additional towel, which I had also ordered and paid via a&o application. I had to prove that I had ordered and paid the packeted lunch by showing my phone screen to the hotel receptionist. So, the computer of receptionist did not provide information from the a&o application. 2) The electronic card door system did not work properly. In the evening of my second day at the hostel, I was not able to open the door of my room, and had to return back to the receptionist to change the electronic card. The receptionist started to talk about issues with the door system, but they had not mentioned any problem during my check in at the hotel. 3) I saw a couple of thieves in my room. I can not prove it. These are my suspicions only. They were unsuccessfully looking for my money and bank cards.
Liked: Staff was very kind.
Disliked: Room key did not work super well.
Liked: The close proximity to centre, the beds were very comfortable.
Disliked: No cot provided despite requesting and the request being approved, however upon request it was provided. Despite informing of the occupants half the beds did not have bedding done. There was a smell in the room.
Dirty Dirty Dirty
Liked: The location is convenient
Disliked: I understand that it is a hostel with a large cumulation of people, especially schools, yet it could have been so much cleaner! They should adapt the cleaning staff and schedules to their guests - if I know, I will have 30 kids on school trips over the weekend, I should alarm the cleaning staff to take their time cleaning…the kids make so much more mess than regular guests (adults or families). The couches in the lobby had visible stains and food crumbles all over them and the carpets in the halls also had stains. Imagine you come into a hostel/hotel and the first thing you see are dirty couches and carpets? That is NOT a good first impression and it tells you a lot about the cleanliness of the rooms before even seeing them…. Now, our room was on the first floor with a window directly in front of some kind of inner block and there was a literal trash in front of our window! Nail polish stains on the bathroom counter, old dust in the tile joints (grout), HAIR on the bed (also bathroom floor) and dust balls in the corner of the room. Even the night table next to the bad had visible dirty streaks on it! All of these things are cleaned in 15mins max…. So pity!!!! We accepted it since we were staying there for only one night but I cannot imagine staying there for a longer period of time. Just because it is a hostel we should NOT accept such dirty surroundings. There is never a good enough excuse for bad hygiene!
Conference in Brussels
Liked: The checkin was a total shameless disaster: they were putting me in a occupied bed, and they were in need of 25 minutes passing me like Miss Daysi checking that I was saying the truth and looking for an empty bed because they didn't even know about it and where. Not even an apology. Such a terrible disaster and bad people.
Disliked: Nothing was good. They weren't even cleaning the shared (for 6) bathroom in 2 days. Even if you have a late checkout the bed is not made. Terrible 😞😔.
