  Liked: Spacious apartment with all the essentials covered. Convenient access to the south train station and metro. Blocked out most of the street noise well.

  Disliked: Not the best part of town, a lot of people hanging around late night, sirens, litter. Might consider a bit nicer neighborhood if I was a solo female traveler. Didn't find an automated temperature control for the heater, so just had to turn off the radiators and open the windows to try and cool the place down.

  Spacious room with great location

  Liked: The room (Apartment Lisa) suited our needs perfectly! The location was excellent, being a short and easy walk to the Brussels Midi Train station, plus the room was spacious and the beds were comfy. Two high quality fans kept us as cool as possible (we went during a 38 degree heatwave...) and the kitchen had everything we needed for quick evening meals. The wi-fi was good and there was lots of charging ports available for charging devices.

  Disliked: The apartment lacked storage space for longer trips, although was fine for short breaks.

  Staying at Marco Polo

  Liked: It was very close to Midi Zuid which is convenient when you're traveling by train. The hosts were quite helpful and went out of their way to take care of our needs when required. The place was clean spacious, enough for 5.

  Disliked: The kitchen could be better stocked, but was just enough for simple cooking needs. We didnt ask if more pots and pans were available.

  Liked: the location was good, the apartment is small but nice, even had a small balcony. the owner gave us directions for a good restaurant 4 minutes away

  Disliked: 1. we agreed at check-in that we'd leave the bags for 3 hours after check-out, but they would not open the door for half an hour, so we had to leave and get lockers 2. the plane was delayed for 1.5 hours and the train from the airport to Brussels had some technical problems, so we were late for check in. even though we communicated that, they still charged us a penalty for late check in. 3. there are no plugs for electric appliances in the room with 3 beds 4. there were some minor things like the lack of mirror or hangers in the apartment but nothing else was that important

  Comfortable and reasonably equipped, but not a very nice location

  Liked: Easy to collect keys. Kitchen was clean and fairly well equipped. Large fridge. bathroom although tiny was clean and modern. Mobile fans helped keep us cool as it was very hot at night. Beds were comfortable.

  Disliked: Location wasn't nice. Walking through the local streets it was clear we weren't in the nicest part of town. Dirty and noisy part of Brussels, located close to the train station meant we were close to the main roads and the sirens were almost a constant feature at night. The 2 sleeping areas were only separated by a curtain.
