A stressful and uncomfortable stay that I would not recommend

Liked: The location was convenient for my needs.

Disliked: building has extremely poor sound insulation, and every normal sound or footstep can be heard between apartments. When I complained about constant noise from upstairs, the host told me that if I did not like it, I could leave. However, whenever the downstairs neighbour complained about hearing our normal footsteps, the host repeatedly called and pressured me to leave. I felt as though I was not allowed to live normally in an apartment I had fully paid for. The late-night calls and private messages made the stay extremely stressful. I have used Booking.com for many years and have never experienced anything like this.

Liked: Supermarkets for groceries and train and buses are close conveniently. The owner was very friendly and always available to solve problems

Disliked: You could hear the tram since the house is close to the rails.

Liked: The host was there to meet us on arrival and help with settling in. The apartment was very handy to the train station (5mins walk) & the tram was virtually out the front. There were plenty of options to supermarkets and eateries.

Disliked: The 2 flights of stairs were challenging for an older couple with suitcases.

  Short holiday in Belgium

Liked: The location was good, 5 min to the railway station and 1 min to the supermarket (Delhaize). The apartment was clean and well equiped. We hahd everything we need. The host was very friendly and supportive. They accepted us for early check-in which was very useful.

Disliked: I have nothing to comment. Maybe missing the air conditioner would be unconfortable during the very hot summer.
