Good
Liked: Location is great! Style is authentic. Staff are very nice.
Liked: Central location. Old hotel but very clean. Staff was (most of them) nice and helpful. Breakfast was not fancy but was varied.
Disliked: The windows did not have a good isolation and you could hear noise from the street

Liked: As a regular at this hotel, it meets my expectations - the underground / bus stops are just outside. Breakfast is good too

Liked: Room was perfect for two people. Had a bath and was very clean. Loved the aesthetics of the room and the buffet was nice as well. Location wasn't far from tourist attractions and public transport was very close.
Disliked: The showers are terrible, very aggressive water pressure that makes your skin hurt. Our room didn't have a pants press even though it was advertised. Location is very noisy and walls were thin. Elevator was constantly occupied by the cleaning lady because the other was broken, we had to wait 10 minutes to get to the bottom floor because of that.

Good value for money in the European neighborhood of Brussels
Liked: Since I had a meeting in a European institution, this was ideally located (and good value compared to the expensive hotels in the neighborhood). It's also walking distance from downtown (15-20 minutes to the Grand Place). The room was very large and nicely furnished, the wi fi worked well, the power sockets easily accessible. The breakfast buffet was copious and very good, with the original touch of the option of vegetable soup. And topnotch pancakes.
Disliked: The hours of opening of the breakfast room didn't seem to be posted in the room. Some slight fraying of the carpets on the stairs (but there were two elevators so you can always avoid the stairwell if you wish).
