Liked: Centrally located on a very lively street, but apartment is still really quiet and peaceful. The host did make sure that you have all the basic supplies that you can think of upon your arrival. Everything things are really at a walking distances included night life, restaurants and sightseeing. Carrefour grocery store is right at the corner where you can get whatever your heart desires. Host is great. Will definitely stay here if I will visit Brussels again.

    Liked: The location is good

Disliked: This was the most disappointing accommodation experience I have encountered on any booking platform. We clearly communicated in advance that we required an early check-in and were told that if the flat was ready, we would find the keys available. We sent multiple messages to the host before our arrival but received no response whatsoever. Only after we had already checked in and settled in did the host finally reply. Due to what transpired regarding our check-in timing, the host demanded we leave the property immediately after we had already checked in and begun resting following a long journey. There was no attempt at a reasonable discussion—only abrupt demands to “get out” and “come back later.” The host’s demeanor was so aggressive and hostile that we felt frightened and unsafe, particularly as we were visitors in a foreign country. We were forced to leave without adequate time to freshen up or change into warmer clothing, and ended up walking the streets for four hours in the cold until we could return. This treatment was not only disrespectful but also placed us in an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe situation. After being treated so disrespectfully and having our personal space invaded in such an aggressive manner, we wanted to cancel the booking and find alternative accommodation. Unfortunately, we were unable to do so and had no choice but to remain at the property for the duration of our stay, which made the entire trip extremely uncomfortable. While I acknowledge that miscommunications can occur on both sides, no guest should ever be treated with such hostility, especially when we had proactively communicated our plans and received no response until after check-in. Being physically asked to leave after check-in, in such an intimidating manner, is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise travelers to consider other accommodation options in the Boulevard Anspach area, of which there are many excellent alternatives. Unfortunately, based on our exper

I would not recommend this place

    Liked: Location

Disliked: My stay was extremely unpleasant. The host was rude and uncooperative. There were clear instructions to take a key to the basement in order to leave luggage there. In the end, I decided not to leave my luggage because the basement did not feel safe to me, but I had the keys with me. I then received a very rude message accusing me of taking the key and saying that the host could not enter to clean. I went back about 10 minutes later to return the key and leave the luggage, but in the meantime the host messaged me saying that “it was not a problem” because he had a spare key, after I had already walked all over the city. Throughout the entire stay, communication was only in French, which I do not understand, and the host refused to communicate in English. Check-in is at 5:00 PM and check-out at 10:00 AM, which is extremely inconvenient. In December, the temperature in the apartment was fixed at 19°C and could not be increased. There was a rude note stating that if the temperature was increased, an alarm would be triggered and an inspection would come. More seriously, there was no hot water at all, so I was unable to take a shower. Also the kitchen sink did not work. The hygiene was unacceptable: there were spider webs on the walls and hair everywhere - in the sink, the shower cabin, and even on the dishes on the table. The bed sheets did not smell freshly washed, which made me feel that they may not have been changed at all.

Great stay for a city break

Liked: The host was incredible, really quick to answer messages and any questions. Everything was really clearly laid out. There’s nothing more that we could have wanted from a stay, it was extremely convenient and comfortable. If we come back to Brussels we will book here again.

    Disliked: Nothing

    Just like home

Liked: The apartment is cozy and gorgeous, and it’s in such a great location! It really gives you a feel of how locals live, and the vibe is just amazing — we loved it.

Disliked: It would’ve been even better if the instructions on how to get to the apartment (and where the luggage room is) were a bit clearer — maybe with some photos or maps to guide guests more easily
