  AWFUL, DIRTY, DISORGANISED

  Disliked: DIRTY/BED BUGS/NO COMMUNICATION - AWFUL experience. Despite paying the subsequent security deposit we never received an access code to the key safe. No one responded to the phone number/email provided. It took 2 hours upon arrival to locate & get access to the property. Meanwhile there was a large group of loud men playing music loudly/stag weekend. Entry path at back of building had no lighting and my daughter fell over the slippery rock in middle of pathway. Upon entry we found the 3 bedroom apartment to be dirty. Beds had both live and dead bed bugs, pubic hair in bathrooms, excrement in the toilet, stains on furniture & walls, dirty cutlery and dust on fixtures/extractor fans. We were a family of 4 and had driven from the UK all day via Bruges and had nowhere else to go - hence this was not a decision taken lightly. Nevertheless - we cancelled our booking immediately and filed a complaint with booking.com as well as with residence company. Thus was an incredibly stressful and upsetting “vacation” for us all. Communication from “Ardennes online” since then has been almost zero, my complaint hasn’t been acknowledged and no apology offered from anyone. When I’ve managed to speak to someone they’ve suggested someone will be in touch 2/3 days later. The reservation has still not been refunded and they haven’t even refunded the security desposit or tourist tax yet either. Absolutely shocking. Don’t stay here…..

  Liked: Very nice location.

  Disliked: No dishwasher in the room; all instructions advise to remove dishes from the dishwasher on departure. It would be good to have some cleaning items for dishes in the room. Not a massive issue but had to buy a bottle of soap to wash 4 plates.

  Good stay. Could use a good cleaning

  Liked: Nice view, nice surroundings

  Disliked: Cobwebs here and there. Not all the showers worked how they should. Dirty plates in the kitchen.

  Liked: Location was good, fuew minut to Durbuy centrum.

  Disliked: The house was to close street, early morning cars disturbed silence. Receptionist so slow and we waiting so long to get keys. The worst thing was when you waiting for deposit back and they calculate power you used. They charged us 30 euros min only for 3 nights. When i pay monthly 52 euros in place where i living.....

  Disliked: There was no mosquito net there n any of the windows. It was hard to sleep in so much warm weather with closed windows and the moment we opened windows bees came in
