Liked: Nice quiet room with view onto the Meuse
Disliked: The mattresses were completely worn out and a pain in the - back.
Convenient stop-over not for from
Liked: We stopped here on our way back to the UK from Austria. It served a purpose, was a convenient location with parking, but I wouldn’t stay again unless I couldn’t find an alternative. It
Disliked: isn’t really a hotel, more like a motel with a few rooms attached to a restaurant. The rooms were spacious enough and beds comfortable but it was not very clean and there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke and evidence of smoking in the rooms (burns on the basin and bath). The towels had a damp smell and there was no breakfast option despite there being a restaurant. The doors are thin and noise and light comes into the room when guests arrive during the night. The lady that showed us to our rooms was pleasant.
Liked: Good value; friendly reception
Disliked: There were no staff to be seen when I left in the morning (not very early); and the chicken curry I ate in the restaurant after I arrived was not good (poor quality meat)
Liked: nice setting, dinner good and inexpensive. Room fine for the price, fan would be helpful for hot summer nights though
Disliked: Tap loose in bathroom, presumably as guests try to fit kettle under it to get some water in?
It was fine for one night
Liked: It was clean and had a good car park.
Disliked: A bit of an odd place - on a Monday, we had to knock and wait at the (closed) restaurant for someone to tell us where to go. Our TV channels didn’t work, but we didn’t need it, so didn’t ask them to fix it. The EV charging is next door and seems to be for visitors to that business, not the hotel.
A quiet place that gets it right
Liked: It’s a quiet, no fuss place that does all the basics very well - beds, bathroom, parking. You need a car as it’s on the outskirts of Namur but with one, or taking the bus that stops nearly outside, you can be in the centre in minutes.
