Liked: The highlight of my stay was definitely the excellent location, with everything conveniently nearby.
Disliked: The location was excellent, but unfortunately the room was disappointing for the price. The toilet door jammed twice, the chair was broken, and the shower was impractical. The accommodation really needs better maintenance and modernisation.
Good value, clean & tidy, no issues
Liked: Good value for money. Good location and EV charging facilities on the street nearby.
High hopes, beautiful building and rooms, but disappointed overall
Liked: The location is superb, near the beach and a few minutes from the station, easily accessible even with a bag or suitcase, on foot or with a cab. I stayed in one of the studios on the top floor and had a nice sea view from the small terrasse. Beautiful building from a bygone era, used to be a hotel. It's nicely decorated and some of the original fixtures are still there in the bathrooms and the decor of the hallways. Very pleasant.
Disliked: My room was not clean. Some of the cushions and the small sofa near the dining room table were dirty. The shower had hair, not mine as the ones there were dark long hair. The toilet seat is a cheap plastic seat, unhinged and not properly fixed. The sheets had obviously been washed but had a few small dark stains... Windows need cleaning too. Quite frankly disappointing. It's a shame because, again, the location and the building are amazing. Even the studio in itself is great: beautiful decor, beautiful view, beautiful light. But the place is run down and not well maintained. Not enough staff I think.
Liked: We stayed at this hotel because it was cheaper than accommodation options in Bruges. Check-in is self-service via a terminal at the entrance. The room included a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bed. We even saw seals on the beach in late September—it was amazing!
Disliked: However, parking is an issue: it is available either for €30 per day, or you have to park 1.6–2 km away and carry your luggage.
Great location, but impractical for a family
Liked: The location is really good, and that’s clearly where the high rating comes from.
Disliked: Don’t let the location score fool you. The room is quite cramped. It’s fine for two people, but too small for a family of three. There’s very little space to put everyday things: no shelf next to the bathroom sink and barely any room in the kitchenette. The kitchen is equipped to the bare minimum, with exactly 3 spoons, 3 forks, 3 knives, 3 plates and so on. One single switch controls all the lights in the room, so you can’t just light up one corner - it’s all or nothing. The bathroom has no light switch at all, only a motion sensor, so going in at night means waking everyone up. The sofa bed is very squeaky and makes noise with every move.
Great location, but disappointing room
Liked: The hallway downstairs
Disliked: The room was very dirty, full of dust everywhere. They were giving a fine if you didn’t wash your dishes, but didn’t bother to mop the floor in the room. Very disappointing.
