Poor experience - hotel over-booked and did not honour our booking
Liked: Nothing. A terrible experience that ruined the final day of our holiday.
Disliked: I had a booking for a sea-view room (fully paid in March 2026) for one night in September as the final day of our 2-week Croatia vacation. I received an email from booking.com in the morning to welcome me to the hotel. I arrived at 10.30am (after carrying my 2 heavy suitcases up the 60 steps) to be told by the reception that the hotel had over-booked and they no longer had my room. Disgraceful customer service!!! Poor guy on reception was very apologetic but was not able to help. They booked us into another hotel 10 mins away, no offer of help with our luggage or any kind of formal apology. What made it worse, the other hotel only had rooms with a view of the car-park!
Liked: Nice location with nice restaurants etc around.
Disliked: Shower floods, had to walk around in flip flops. We got bitten alive with bugs in the room. Doesn’t look like the photos. No gluten free options at breakfast. Didn’t see a single member of staff until check out.

Liked: We stayed at the hotel for a week, and overall, our experience was quite mixed. First of all, I have to mention the staff everyone was absolutely friendly and helpful. The location is also great!
Disliked: We decided to pay a little extra for breakfast, but unfortunately, we didn’t feel that it was really worth it. The selection was quite limited and during a 7 day stay, there was very little variety. I understand that this is a small hotel, so maybe this is normal, but I think the breakfast could definitely be improved. Also, plant-based milk was available only on the first day and after thag it was never available again. We also chose a room without a balcony, which we ended up regretting. I haven’t seen the rooms with balconies, so I can’t compare them directly, but our room was very small and quite dark. We had to keep the lights on almost all the time, even during the day. One particularly strange issue was the chair in the room. It had a strong unpleasant smell, to the point that when we left a T-shirt on it for a few hours, the T-shirt picked up the smell and we couldn’t really wear it afterwards. This definitely wasn’t very pleasant. Another issue was the noise at night. I understand that this isn’t necessarily the hotel’s fault, as it depends on the other guests, but the soundproofing was very poor, you could hear practically everything happening in the corridors and other rooms. Almost every night, there was some kind of noise that woke us up. On one occasion, for example, two apparently drunk guests were loudly shouting to each other from different floors for around two hours. We weren’t sure whether they were actually hotel guests or someone who had entered the building, so it was quite uncomfortable.
