A lovely place with a great view of the city walls

Liked: This was a lovely place with a great view. It was only a short walk to the city gate. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use. The hosts were informative and easy to contact.

Disliked: Not an issue for us - but guests should be aware that the unit is on a steep hill between two roads. There are a number of steps to reach it, regardless of which road you use.

An exemplary apartment close to Old Town Dubrovnik that is managed by a very helpful and caring host

Liked: Outstanding location (short walk to old town), and a spacious, well-appointed apartment with parking. Our host Miho was also very helpful with luggage and getting us settled and organized. The views are breathtaking. The kitchen was very complete and supports a longer stay.

Disliked: It was not a problem for us but if you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you as there are approximately 120 steps down to the road that leads to the Old Town Dubrovnik (which must be climbed on return).

Lovely Apartment with Beautiful Views and Truly Wonderful Hosts!

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at Villa Ragusa! Our well-equipped one-bedroom apartment had a lovely terrace with beautiful views overlooking Dubrovnik's Old Town and the sea. It was a wonderful spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. What really made our stay special were our hosts, Mia and Milo, a young brother-and-sister team who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Unfortunately, I developed a respiratory infection during our visit, and Mia kindly helped arrange an appointment at a local clinic when my phone wasn't working. She even checked on me the following day to see how I was feeling. Milo was equally thoughtful. On our second morning, he stopped by with fresh towels and offered to take out our trash. When he learned I wasn't feeling well, he even offered to go to the pharmacy for me. He also carried all our luggage down the 56 steps to the apartment upon arrival and back up again when we checked out. We were so grateful for his help! The apartment is about a 10-minute downhill walk to Old Town, with additional steps once you reach the historic center. We found a restaurant, Bikers Bar, and a small market about halfway down the hill, but otherwise dining options nearby were limited. We appreciated having a kitchen and enjoyed making breakfast each morning before heading out. One thing to consider is the number of stairs and the uphill walk back from town. My husband has knee issues, so we generally took taxis back to the apartment, which cost around €12–€15 for a ride of less than a mile. It's something to keep in mind for anyone with mobility concerns. Overall, we had a lovely stay, and Mia and Milo truly made the experience memorable. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality were exceptional. We would certainly recommend Villa Ragusa, especially to travelers who appreciate beautiful views and don't mind a few stairs!

Disliked: There were just a few areas where we felt the apartment could be a little more comfortable. The interior furnishings were fairly simple, and we would have preferred a slightly more cushioned mattress, softer bed linens, and fuller pillows. Mia was very accommodating and kindly brought us two extra pillows when we asked, which helped. The living room sofa was also a bit firm for our liking, and the small coffee table had a loose top that required a little extra care. We really enjoyed the terrace furnishings, though! A smart TV would have been a nice addition, as English-language channels were limited. Overall, these were small things, and the beautiful views and exceptional kindness of Mia and Milo more than made up for them.

Superior views of the walled Old Town and Adriatic--hard to leave our private terrace!

Liked: SUPERIOR VIEWS! This apartment had very new, modern layout with well equipped kitchen. The outside seating area was excellent, nice table and chairs for eating as well as small couch--great for enjoying the beautiful views of the Adriatic and of the walled Old Town.

Disliked: We liked it all, but some might be challenged by the large amount of steps both when walking to old town and when going from the street to the apartment. We liked the exercise!
