  Our sweet-as-candy experience in Opatija

  Liked: Our stay at Bonbon was wonderful! We arrived very early, and Edvard invited us to leave our luggage and have the first coffee of the day together. During our stay, we were treated to wonderful wine, herb and aronia grappa, and delicious cheese. Most of all, though, we were touched by the warmth, the smiles, the spontaneous humor, and the ease of communication. Edvard recommended beaches and restaurants to us, and on our last day, he kindly let us leave our luggage with him until it was time for us to leave. We highly recommend the house and its host, who radiates a love for the sea and for life and has a wonderful ability to connect with his guests through the soul.

He even welcomed us with a bottle of wine and some delicious local cheese, which was such a thoughtful gesture. He took the time to chat with us and introduced us to his lovely dog, making us feel even more at home. His beautiful garden was another highlight, and he generously offered us fresh herbs for my partner to use in cooking, which we really appreciated. The whole experience was warm, relaxing, and memorable. We highly recommend staying here and would gladly come back again. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

  Liked: We have been spending our holidays at Bonbon with our Jack Russell Terrier for the second year in a row. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the hospitable host, Edvard — who, as we’ve discovered, is not only a wonderful host but also an excellent chef — for his warm welcome. He treated us to masterfully prepared paella, steak with local potatoes, and wine from his own production. The magnificent view of the sea from the terrace, where we enjoyed our morning coffee and stayed until midnight, is simply unforgettable. The apartment is very clean and equipped with everything you might need: air conditioning, a washing machine, and excellent Wi-Fi. The interior looks exactly as shown in the photos. It’s only a 10-minute leisurely walk to the sea, with shops, cafés, and a market also within walking distance. Opatija is our favorite place, and we hope to spend our vacation at Bonbon again. See you soon, Edvard!:)
