  Historical building of Hotel Bristol is impressive but I would not return

  Liked: Hotel Bristol is well located near the park and walking distance to the beach. The historic building is beautiful although it has seen better days. I liked the high ceilings in the rooms and walking up & down the stairs reminded me of the Belle Epoque. In the bar area downstairs we had the best walnut ice cream in Croatia.

  Disliked: We had two rooms: one for parents and another one for children. However, the rooms were on different floors! I expressed my concern to the staff but they were clearly unmoved. Secondly, Opatija is a holiday resort but Hotel Bristol does not have a gym or any exercise area which is very disappointing for a property with so many “stars”. Opatija was SO HOT that we had to hide indoors for hours, which would have been a perfect time for the gym. Activities for guests are not a priority for the hotel at all. Overall, not an optimal stay for families.

  Great hotel with a perfect location, and extremely kind and helpful staff!

  Liked: The location is perfect! It is in the center of the city of Opatija and a walkable distance from everything the city has to offer. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar has a satisfying offer. The staff is extremely kind and helpful! Hotel Bristol is my number one choice whenever I go to Opatija.
