Exceptional
Beautiful view and location, nice staff, but the hotel needs a few more improvements to be perfect
Liked: The location and the view are wonderful. The staff were also lovely. We had nicely furnished and spotlessly clean rooms. Watching the sunrise over the sea from your bed is absolutely fantastic. The restaurant offered a very generous selection for both breakfast and dinner—it’s impossible not to overeat! Plus, the view from the lobby bar is epic.
Disliked: 1. The hotel needs some general maintetnance. Small things, but you can find loosen screws, broken terrace door lock, damaged outside playground, etc. 2. The main thing is what we missed is the wellness what you can use in cold weather. Unfortunately there is no sauna, no warm pool or a jacuzzy. This is an area with potential for improvement. 3. The following is not exactly the hotel's issue. We had a room neighbour with a small dog. Continuous barking over several evenings seriously disturbed the residents of the entire floor, ourselves included. And while we do like dogs, it’s impossible to put two small children to bed under these conditions.
Exceptional Hotel with Stunning Views!
Liked: An exceptional hotel in a wonderful location! I walked along the entire Lungomare, and believe me, this is the best hotel in the area! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, especially the two wonderful entertainers who were also fantastic with the kids’ club and fitness activities. The sea view was breathtaking! Even lying in bed in the room felt like being on a luxury cruise. Both breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding, offering a huge variety of delicious food for everyone. Unlimited beer and wine were a fantastic bonus! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. I genuinely enjoyed every second of our stay and would absolutely return!
Disliked: The parking fee of €20 per day was a little expensive. A more reasonable price would be appreciated.
A wonderful place to stay with charming staff
Liked: The gentleman who booked us in was charming, focussed and professional. He made you feel valued. Breakfast and dinner was of excellent quality. The view from the room was wonderful.
Disliked: Upon arrival a gentleman approached us to help with booking in. However, I thought he was a coach driver not a concierge. I overlooked him initially despite staying at the hotel previously where I had not met him. He is keen to help, I Guess some have routines, and like to stick to them. We received a knock on the door at 8.34am on day two with the cleaning lady standing there. She said she would come back later. A little too early for us that visit.
Liked: Balcony and view
Disliked: Long corridor walk from the elevator to room, it was my daily exercise
Beautiful location and views, but a disappointing stay for a family with a baby
Liked: We booked this hotel for our 2026 holiday because its presentation led us to expect family-friendly accommodation. We were travelling with a baby and hoped above all for a restful stay, but several shortcomings made our experience considerably less comfortable. The hotel’s greatest strengths are its beautiful views over Kvarner Bay and its excellent location. We would also like to commend the staff for their efforts, although their friendliness could not make up for all the shortcomings described above. Unfortunately, our stay left us disappointed. Given the standard we expected, we were let down by the hotel’s build quality, maintenance and suitability for families with babies. Based on our experience, we would not recommend it to such families. We expected more from a hotel in the Liburnia group. We also felt that more effective external shading was needed. The room became very hot despite the curtains, and the terrace was less comfortable to use during the day because of the sun.
Disliked: The soundproofing in our room was very poor. We could clearly hear noise from the corridor and the shower in the neighbouring room, which was particularly disruptive in the evenings when our baby was already asleep. The room door also did not close properly or seal well. Dinner is served from 7 to 9 pm, which was too late for our baby’s routine. There were large crowds and queues when dinner service began, so we could only avoid them by arriving around 7:30 pm. For a hotel marketed as family-friendly, we would have appreciated an earlier dinner option. The outdoor pool is unheated and was too cold for swimming with our baby during our stay. As a result, we only used the bathtub in our room for our baby’s baths. Despite the cooler weather towards the end of summer, the air conditioning in the communal areas was set very high, which was particularly uncomfortable in the children’s playroom. The biggest problem was access to the sea and the coastal promenade. The route we used had no ramp, only steep, narrow steps, so both of us had to carry the pushchair together every time. This made it very difficult for either parent to take the baby for a walk alone, restricting our freedom to move around and preventing the other parent from having a rest. There were not enough sun loungers on the hotel beach, while many around the pool remained unused. On one occasion, someone even removed our belongings from the loungers while we had taken our baby back to the room. A better distribution of loungers would have been welcome. We also felt that more effective external shading was needed. The room became very hot despite the curtains, and the terrace was less comfortable to use during the day because of the sun. Another issue was the bed, which consisted of two separate beds pushed together. They were not secured to each other and could slide apart. Since our baby slept between us, we were constantly worried that a gap might open up between the mattresses.
Seafront stay with plenty for the kids - and great October value
Liked: We loved the location right on the water, with lovely views over the Kvarner Bay from the terrace and a small concrete beach in front where we fit in an afternoon swim. The breakfast was big and filling with plenty our kids enjoyed, and the game room kept the whole family busy with billiards, table tennis and a playroom with a ball pit and slides.
Disliked: The hotel is very long, so some rooms are quite a walk from reception, and there were small signs of wear like a loose door handle and some cracked paint - but with off-season maintenance coming up and value for money in early October that's hard to beat, we'd happily come back.
