  Avoid This Hotel if You Are Travelling With Children

  Disliked: We stayed at The FLOOR Hotel in Milan and unfortunately this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had as a family. The hotel advertises accessible rooms suitable for guests with disabilities, wheelchairs, and strollers. We specifically booked based on these claims, but the hotel was not accessible as advertised. This was extremely disappointing and misleading. Upon arrival, there was no hot water. The issue was eventually fixed, but not before we were left unable to properly wash and care for our infant son. Anyone travelling with a baby knows how important basic facilities like hot water are. The biggest concern was safety. The shower is poorly designed, with incorrectly fitted glass panels and inadequate drainage. Every time the shower was used, water flooded the bathroom floor. As a result, our son, who is under two years old, slipped and fell on the wet floor and bumped his head. This is a serious hazard that should never exist in a hotel room. The air conditioning also failed to work properly during several days of extremely hot Milan weather. The room became uncomfortably warm, and both my son and I became unwell during our stay. After checking reviews, we discovered that other guests had reported the same air-conditioning problems, suggesting this is a known issue that has not been properly addressed. Once the AC worked, it gives such a cold wind even though it shows 24 degrees which made me and my son got sick. What made the situation even more frustrating was the complete lack of assistance from the hotel. Reception repeatedly refused to help, did not provide management contact details, and our written complaint has been ignored entirely. To make matters worse, the hotel failed to provide a proper fiscal receipt upon request. We travel frequently and understand that problems can happen. However, what matters is how a hotel responds when issues arise. In this case, the problems were serious, ongoing, and completely ignored.

  Liked: Excellent breakfast and location

  Disliked: I did not know there was no check-in at the villa. Check-in is at the adjacent hotel. When I arrived and everything was locked up, it was rather disconcerting. I had to phone to find out where to go. This is information which should be provided at booking.
